Humans
A partner takes care of its worker.
A Human came home,
weary from a hard day.
It’s partner made food,
a new flavor, quite strange.
In a cheery mood,
like nothing had happened.
It smiled and swore,
on the love it was wrapped in.
Being spent and hungry,
the human ate and ate.
Until a tremor in it’s belly,
suddenly made it wait.
The partner was cleaning and busy,
The workers heart was going twitchy.
A gulp from a mug of ale, gone strange.
The smell the same, but the taste rearranged.
And so up the human stood,
knowing it’s partner, up to no good.
But it was much too late,
for up came the plate.
Blood and the food he ate.
Dressing for the winter quietly,
‘I’ll be right back’,
said the partner.
The worker, Vomiting violently,
It tried an attack,
It’s vision a blur.
But up came the floor.
Bang slammed the door.
And the human, was no more.
